1. Chou Chou
This women’s boutique is impossible to miss on the corner of a handsome shopping block. That’s a good thing, because Chou Chou is filled with everything a woman loves to pour over: dresses, work outfits, shoes, handbags and outfit- completing accessories. The shop, owned by mother–daughter team Katharine Sanford and Katie Sanford, makes shopping a pleasure—the space is relaxed and has lots of styles, designers and price points. Also check out nearby Petite Chou Chou (5 River Rd., 203-529-3670) for cute, properly fitting children’s shoes. 21 River Rd., 203-761-9999; shopchouchou.com

2. B Chic
Ever need a little fab find to pick up your day? Head to the women’s fashion boutique called B Chic. It’s cute as a button and stocked with wardrobe essentials, like perfectly fitting, go-to white jeans as well as an appealing selection of accessories (jewelry, handbags, sunglasses, etc.) that are priced to be completely guilt-free. The summery white tops with colorful embroidery are irresistible, too. 78 Old Ridgefield Rd., 203-210-7037

3. Signature style
Yes, fine, there are dresses and tops with the most addictive prints known to shopper-kind at this shop. And, yes, there are sandals, jewelry and handbags that beautifully tie together whole camera-ready outfits here. But what’s going to draw you in are the preppy totes, pillows, trays, party buckets and Wilton-pride logos (Go 06897!) displayed in the front window. 72 Old Ridgefield Rd., 203-529-3115; signaturestyleshop.com

4. Snappy Gator
We can’t tell you what Snappy Gator was thinking when it chose its catchy name, but it might be about the cute clothes and jewelry you’ll want to snap up. The shop is as bright and pretty as the dresses and tops that fill its racks, making it like shopping a fashionable woman’s closet. 21 River Rd., 203-761-7735; snappygator.com

5. Campus jewelry
Wilton has a number of gorgeous shops, but one of the more dramatic ones must be Campus Jewelry, with its curved wall of windows. 5 River Rd., 203-762-7644; mycampusjewelers.com
