It’s All About Maintenance

Keeping your most important assets in shape can be costly—but not always.

The cost of maintaining what we already have is a real and often substantial amount of money, and it adds up.

First, consider your home. Cleaning, maintaining the lawn and landscape, plowing the driveway and shoveling the walkways when it snows—and it did this past winter—power washing, painting, replacing appliances, updating the décor, are all real costs attached to its purchase. Most experts on home ownership estimate that maintenance will run somewhere between two and four percent of a house price, per year. For your average Westport bungalow, that’s a major hunk of change.

Then there’s you—and your spouse. Without even assessing the dry cleaning costs for what’s in your closet, there are haircuts, highlights, manicures, and personal trainer. If you tally the cost of a hair stylist, that’s four figures a year for just cut and color.

The list goes on, and it’s hard to imagine scrimping on upkeep. After all, you want to keep you and your possessions in the best shape possible.

So be resigned that maintenance will cost you for almost everything, unless you decide that the car in your garage will be an X1, X5, M3 or other luxury vehicle from BMW. And BMW of Bridgeport—the only New England dealership to have won the manufacturer’s distinction as a Center of Excellence for three years in a row—will provide no-cost maintenance on new BMW vehicles for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first.

According to Eric Lowenbein, the manager responsible for the service that has helped to earn the Bridgeport dealership’s distinction among its peers, all factory recommended maintenance needs such as engine oil service, brake fluids, pads and discs, engine drive belts, will be covered. The service experience will be second to none.

“We humanize the experience at every contact point,” says Eric. “You’ll be greeted when you arrive at the service entryway by our valet, who will park your car, bring up your loaner, make sure your serviced vehicle is washed, and return it to you. Our people are there for you at every contact point, from the customer service person who makes your appointment, to the person who rings you out when you’re done.”

Maintenance has never been so cost-effective, or so pleasant, just minutes away from Westport, right off 25/8 connector exit 5.
