Save the Children and the Westport Country Playhouse

Children in need took center stage during a benefit at the Westport Country Playhouse to support Save the Children’s Healing and Education Through the Arts program, called HEART. Planned by a dedicated team of Westport and Fairfield County volunteers, the evening included a light supper, cocktail reception, and a spellbinding performance of Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s acclaimed musical Into the Woods. With HEART, Save the Children brings the power of artistic expression—using music, dance, painting, and more—to children in need throughout the world so that they may heal emotional wounds and learn critical skills.
