Calling All Artists, come Paint Westport!

It’s time again to get into the Halloween spirit and come dress up town windows with your best ghostly works of art.

On Sunday, October 20th from 11am-4pm artists, families, schools, clubs and small groups of two or three are encouraged to sign-up to paint Westport’s shop windows with spooky but family-friendly Halloween scenes.

To enter this year’s contest visit www.westportwestonchamber.com to download and complete the entry form, and send with your entry fee of $15 per individual or $25 per group to the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber will assign Windows on a first-come first-served basis. Each artist or group supplies his or her own tempera paints (not acrylics), brushes, drop cloths, paper towels and ladder if needed. The windows will be marked in advance and artists are asked to paint within the officially marked space and to clean up their areas when completed.

Judging by local town leaders, and artists will take place beginning at 4:00pm with ribbons awarded and placed on the winning windows.  Prizes will be awarded in three categories: Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12.
