M3 Yoga Presents “Balance Your Heart Out!” Workshop | Westport, CT

Having “balance” means much more than standing on one foot in tree pose. The physical feat can be uplifting, but balance in yoga means a true connection between the body, mind and soul. Finding your core (center and soul) to help you gain stability in life and on your yoga mat can improve focus, relieve stress, and help you gain the tools to deal with difficult situations.  Led by Emily Tully and Nancy Joyce, this 90-minute workshop will focus on balancing poses, physically and energetically. All levels welcome!  

What this workshop entails:

  • Standing poses- Position of feet, engagement of certain muscles to help stability. Fun use of props/wall. 
  • Chakra balancing- Energy centers of the body (reduce stress and achieve true peace of mind); balance of breathing, meditation, and guided imagery. 
  • Arm balances- Gain necessary tools in order to explore this part of the asana with more ease, control, and confidence. Examples: Bhekasana (Crow & Crane), Parsva Bhekasana (Side Crow), Tolasana (Scale). Modifications offered!
