Come learn the nuances of all things cheesy as Marina and Jordan pair up once again this time in our apiary to introduce you to the sublime pairings of Red Bee honey and Murray’s cheese.
Jordan serves as the Manager of Events and Education for Murray’s Cheese, New York City’s oldest and most revered cheese shop. She originally hails from Mesquite, Texas, home of the championship rodeo. As a graduate of Yale University with a degree in American Studies and a 120-page thesis on the Creolized Vietnamese food of New Orleans East, she credits as it was precisely a summer of researching oyster plates and beignets for the Southern Food and Beverage Museum in New Orleans, Louisiana as her inspiration to “practice food” professionally. She has since dabbled in food writing (check out her articles on the popular Serious Eats blog), sustainable farming, brick oven pizza-making, and compulsive cocktail mixing, and is a member of the United States Bartender’s Guild as well as a teaching assistant for the International Wine Center and their Wine and Spirits Education Trust certification program. A serious Southern debutante who believes in the gospel of Emily Post and SEC football, she revels in the opportunity to teach every cheese course possible, encouraging her students to truly engage when their food—especially when it means eating and drinking with one’s mouth open.
